Short Bio

Matt Hryhorsky (rye/horse/key) is a full-stack product design leader, entrepreneur, and educator. For more than a decade he's helped design teams scale and has successfully helped companies like Fitbit and Scholastic design more human experiences. He co-founded a startup that helps musicians make more money on the road, and created education programs for new and seasoned design teams looking to level up their skills. He was once actually big in Japan.

The Not-So-Short Bio

Matt Hryhorsky (rye/horse/key) is a full-stack product design leader, entrepreneur, and educator. For more than a decade he's helped design teams scale and has successfully helped companies like Fitbit and Scholastic design more human experiences. He co-founded a startup that helps musicians make more money on the road, and created education programs for new and seasoned design teams looking to level up their skills. He was once big in Japan.

With a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems from Ryerson University, five years on the road as a touring musician, twelve years building and growing the design team at Filament, and an intense run building music startup, Merch, Matt has worked with a wide variety of organizations, and has designed for multiple sides of the customer experience.

In addition to designing award-winning experiences, Matt helped Bitmaker Labs create their first UX and Product Design curriculum and created UX Design Masterclass - an online course that helps new and veteran designers build their skills that includes students from incredible organizations like IDEO and Stanford's D School. He has spoken at numerous tech industry events including FITC and sat on panels for General Assembly, Red Academy, and SpotlightUX.
